Is this workshop for you?

It’s for you if

✓ Last year’s budget was more of a guess, or you didn’t have one

✓ Your P&L says you’re profitable but the bank account says otherwise

✓ A tax bill, GST payment or slow month caught you out this year

✓ You’re a start-up setting up your first proper budget

✓ You support business owners as a manager, bookkeeper or board member and want a practical framework

You don’t need

✓ A finance background. Everything will be explained in plain English.

✓ Special budget software. An excel spreadsheet is a perfectly fine starting point.

✓ To share your numbers with the group. You work on your own figures privately.

✓ Perfect records or to know exactly what will happen in the future. Rough numbers are a good enough place to start.

WHAT TO EXPECT

An interactive working session

Over 2 hours you’ll build the bones of your 2027 budget on your own numbers, in the right order: strategy first, then the budget that resources it.

01

Start with your priorities

Set three to five priorities for 2027 so your budget funds what matters, not rinse-and-repeat last year’s habits.

02

Build revenue and costs you can trust

Forecast revenue you can comfortably defend and find the costs that usually get missed.

03

Turn it into cash flow

Map your budget month-by-month with GST, provisional tax and PAYE in the months they fall due for no surprises.

04

Know early if you’re off track

Pick the few KPIs that wan you before your bank balance does.

Plus live Q&A. Bring your questions. Nothing is too basic, and you can ask privately in the chat.

What you’ll leave with

Three minutes to save your spot

1. Fill in the form. Name, business and email is all we need.

2. Check your inbox. You’ll get a confirmation with your joining link and a calendar invite.

3. Prepare (optional). A few days before, we’ll send a reminder and short prep list.

4. Join on 5 November. Log in five minutes early to check your sound.

Handy to have on the day

  • Your 2026 profit and loss, even a rough one from your accounting software

  • Your current bank balance, loans and overdraft limit

  • Your 2026 tax and GST payments, if you have them

  • Your top three goals for 2027

Questions

What does it cost?

Only $25 as early bird registration then it increases to $35 from 26 October 2026.

I’m in Australia. Can I join?

Yes. The session runs 2-4pm AEDT. Tax dates in the session may be NZ slightly specific and will do our best to cover some of Australia’s, but the budgeting approach works anywhere.

Will it be recorded?

Yes. Everyone who registers gets the recording, even if you can’t join live.

Will I have to share my numbers?

No. You work on your own figures privately and you are welcome to ask questions in the chat during the workshop.

Start 2027 with a plan, not a guess.
